We’re an independent, locally owned shop about 4.4 miles from the Maryland Blvd side of APG’s Aberdeen Area. Service members, civilian employees, contractors and their families are welcome.
According to the Maryland MVA, uniformed service members moving to Maryland have one year to title and register their vehicles here, compared with 60 days for most new residents. A vehicle needs a valid Maryland Safety Inspection Certificate to be titled in Maryland, and the certificate is valid for 90 days. Your own situation may differ, so check the MVA’s military page.
We’re a Maryland State Police–licensed inspection station for cars and motorcycles. We can also look over a car before a long PCS drive or a trip home. MotorXcel is an independent business and is not affiliated with or endorsed by APG, the U.S. Army or the Department of Defense.
About 4.4 miles, roughly 8 minutes without traffic. Follow Maryland Blvd out toward US 40, merge onto US 40 (Philadelphia Blvd) toward Aberdeen for about 1.4 miles, then turn left onto W Bel Air Ave (MD 132) and go about 1.3 miles. We’re on the right.
About 12.7 miles, roughly 19 minutes without traffic. Take Emmorton Rd / MD 24 north to I-95 north, ride about 7 miles to Exit 85 (MD 22) and keep right for MD 132. The ramp becomes W Bel Air Ave; we’re about 0.4 mile ahead on the left.
